Null safety · August reading note

Let absence be visible.

A nullable type makes room for a missing value. Before using a safe call or a fallback, decide what that missing value means in the problem. A missing name and an invalid record may need different handling. This is the focus of Layer Library.

JULY 2026
Collections · July reading note

Read collections as a sequence of steps.

When reading a chain of collection operations, write down the values after each step. A filter decides what stays; a map describes what each remaining value becomes. Keeping those questions separate makes an example easier to trace.
